They both are sorta ballads (I guess) and they have a really nice sound to them. The Japanese one is called Hikari by Elisa (ending of Nabari No Ou) and the Korean one is called Shinkirou by Loveholic (Ending of Black Blood Brothers I think). The band was formed in Kanagawa Prefecture in February 1999 by Hotaka Yamashita and Yoshiki Mizuno, and was later joined by lead vocalist Kiyoe Yoshioka in December the same year. They record on Sony Music Entertainment Japans Epic Records label. I’m not sure, since I haven’t read any other of your blogs, but there are some Japanese and Korean songs I’m obsessed with. Ikimono-gakari is a Japanese pop-rock band that debuted in 1998. Ikimono Gakari just recently had a new single called “Arigatou” and another one called “Spirits”. I was like “OMG~! This is so epic~!” I had finally found out the band’s name “Ikimono Gakari” so I searched youtube for their songs. I had also found Sakura and started listening to that. I knew the name of the song but not the artist so I searched for it on youtube. I think the first time I heard Ikimono Gakari was in Naruto Shippuden, however I had always skipped the songs in anime and I left it on by accident. Please, if you don’t mind doing so, look up more of their songs! :3 And suppooooort. There are so many other songs by them that are just as good, but these are the ones that I’ve chosen to talk about and are usually what people seem to like easily. I think Ikimono-gakari is an amazing band and they deserve all the fans they can get, and I think everybody should listen to them if they haven’t because they’re just so great and you’re missing out if you haven’t. >_> )Īaaaaand… that pretty much sums up my post! I’m really REALLY loving them lately, obviously, so I want to share that love with fellow fans and possibly create some new ones. I’d classify the songs by the anime that they appeared in, which is so lame of me… XD (It’s kind of weird going back and listening to my shuffle, and then hearing songs by artists I actually listen to now. I used to have a crappy little iPod Shuffle that I’d fill up with my anime music because that’s all the music I had. My favourite song from the show was the 7th ending theme, HANABI. Kind of embarrassing to talk about, but that’s when I was obsessed with BLEACH and tried to catch up in the anime before it started airing in North America. Technically speaking though, I’d heard Ikimono for the first time a while back. I could easily say I loved them, but now I’ve been thinking about it more (while listening to only their discography for hours) and they are without a doubt my favourite band.

Yell Ikimono Gakari (I tabbed this to a key I could sing. It was pretty much Amy’s influence, if I recall correctly… and she gave me the titles of some songs for me to listen to back then. There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. I started paying attention when Kimagure Romantic and My song Your song came out, and got the rest of their music somewhere near the beginning of this year. I’ve been a fan of Ikimono-gakari for… not long.
